Julia Powalacz is a graduate in Media and Culture from the University of Amsterdam and is currently engaged in a Master’s program in Film Studies. She is expanding her portfolio with a focus on paintings, drawings, and film. Her works mainly revolve around the form of the human body in its natural and deformed shapes. Her collection, ‘Female Form’ features pencil sketches that capture the female body, celebrating its fluidity and grace. She is a member of the analog film collectives Mono No Aware in New York and Filmwerkplaats in Rotterdam.
