Basia Bieniek’s work is her interpretation of consciousness and identity, weaving such motifs with the echo of memory and uncertainty. The latest body of work is based on feelings of discomfort, tiredness and weariness. Often hidden in dreamlike scenes, characters appear to be drifting without a clear destination, yet grounded in place, capturing their sensitivity and passivity. They seem to be at once stagnant yet transitory and continuously morphing.
